When Marc Luzuriaga founded TimberwolveService in 2020 during his high school years at Larchmont Charter High School, he envisioned a platform that could redefine community service. Marc’s personal journey in community service has been a testament to his mission of tying service communities together, fostering a sense of belonging, and driving measurable contributions through increased service hours. As the founder of TimberwolveService, Marc believes that community service isn’t just about completing hours—it’s about cultivating connections, sparking passion, and building lasting change.
 
Now a junior at UCLA, where he double majors in Computer Science and Business Economics, Marc combines his academic expertise with his drive to solve real-world problems. By applying first principles thinking, Marc and his team have answered three key questions to guide their mission:
1. What are we deeply passionate about? Inspiring a sense of community in every school.
2. What can we be the best at? Tying service communities together.
3. What primary parameter are we trying to optimize? Increasing service hours per student.
